CM5 12/10

last class, I reviewed what I learned in fall term. I hadn’t used useful tools well yet. So I have to try hard! 

And the beginning of the class, three classmates showed us three add-ones. Especially, I’m interested in peal tree. I think this add-one is very useful when I write an essay. So I will use it near future.　

Ken also showed me Google toolbar. Google toolbar makes Google and Firefox more excellent. I like translation function, because sometimes it is not correct but it help us to understand English articles.

I’m next presenter so I’m little tense up. But I found a new add-one called Wiki Look. I think it is useful so I’ll show you tomorrow!!

Possible topic

Our group decided to present about future technology of cloning. In this topic, we can discuss both our future and bioethics. Cloning technology has many problems such as human right. And human cloning is possible near future so we never ignore this problem.

My thought about learned

          iGoogle is very useful tool because we can check gmail and google reader same time and customize it more usefully for us. Ctl + F is most useful for me because long and technical English articles are hard to read for us. If we use it, we easy know where we should read. I have never known it but I want to use it frequently. If we know basic knowledge about something, Wikipedia is very useful because articles in other web sites are more specific and skip basic knowledge. Wikipedia sometimes includes unreliable articles but includes many useful articles same time. So, we have to care about it.

What I learn on October, 1st

                 In the last class, many of us could not do our home work because of a problem. So we learned how to use evernote firstly. To use evernote we can collect various articles and make tags to check them quickly and easily. But I felt it is a pity that we cannot import articles from Google books in evernote. If we can do that, evernote and Google books are more useful.

Second, we learned how to use Google search more usefully. In Google search, we can use many search tools, for example nominating time, categories and so on.  Especially, to use “Wonder wheel” we can check connections visually. And in “image” we can search a lot of pictures related to the topic. Moreover we can appoint the color of pictures so we can search pictures which appropriate to the image of our essay. In the last class, I learned a lot of useful tools. So I want to keep using them when I need to search some information especially my essay.

about this week

I made this blog last Friday. So this week was my first week.

This week, I played ruguby very hard because our team is gonna have a rugby gaim  on Sunday! We must win the game!

And on Saturday, I went to my high school to watch a field day. I met many friends there. I really enjoyd the day.


~About last class~

Last CS class, I knew this blog websight and google reader. Blog is very fun but little hard to write.

 Google reader is very useful for me to read other classmate's blog becaus I can check all classmates' blog
without typing each  URLs.

I'm looking forward to learn new tool next class!
